Recycle!!!
I use the 2lt milk containers to make things like flowers. Alphas and frames... You can paint them and sand them, In them and they are easy to cut into any shape!!
What is your recyling tip??

Re: Recycle!!!
really??? i never thought of that... the plastic ones??
i have kept a lot of wrapping paper and ribbon from christmas to use on layouts, i keep the tags from my daughters clothes eg pumpkin patch, hot chilli, barbie etc as i may use them one day, i also cut some butterflies etc from the box of her mariposa barbie doll she got for her birthday as they are so pretty and it is highly likely i will do a barbie layout in the future..
the boxes that have a nice perfume in them often have a see through lid and are strong, so i have kept a few of them as storage..
the trouble is i have so much stuff i am keeping 'for one day' that i am wondering if i need to go through it and chuck some out!!

Re: Recycle!!!
i can see you using the base to stamp a layout!!! which brings me to this thought.. it is amazing what you can use to stamp with...i am amazed at how great bubble wrap is to stamp with.. but anything can be used and can make a great pattern!!

Re: Recycle!!!
arrrr thanks Hun .......now i have a phat head to match the phatass ......nope nothing i have ever done has been published ....i reckon it is cause i don't use current/trendy brands ........ that is one of my secret wishes is to see one of my lay outs in a mag ...but i just don't seem to have anybody interested .....but that is OK ...i scrap for me ...i sent in every lay out i did about 2 years ago to SBC ...i sent about 50 .....and nothing ...not even a thanks but no thanks ...so i just crawled back into my lair ..and figure my mojo is in a triangle that is perfect for me ......lol......but i will take that as a very ego boosting compliment

Re: Recycle!!!
I agree with Arby PAF...these are BRILLIANT and you might find that there is more interest these days from the mags with layouts that have more recycled materials on them. Don't give up subbing...I'd be surprised if at least one of these doesn't get picked up. Most mags are always on the lookout for new names/talent etc. And they'll have to see your star shining overhead at some point soon.
I ADORE using a wide variety of alternative/recycled products and have way more stuff than I could possibly ever use. I agree about the clothing tags etc. My collection of 'recyclables' include:
Shoe buckles, cut-up clothing, bread-tags, zipper pulls off bags/clothing/shoes, masses of jewellry, processed food cartons, images cut from tissue boxes, kids books/novels, raiding the garage for items, bra straps (instead of ribbon), patty pan cases, spongey casing from fruit, gutterguard (LOVE IT!), op-shop finds like doilies, fibres, threads, table runners, old fabrics/lace/buttons etc, I'm currently eyeing off wash-bag netting, old pantyhose/fishnet stockings etc......I have so much I can't even remember half of the things I've put aside "just in case they might be useful"....LOL With scrapping there really isn't any limit or restriction as far as I'm concerned as long as it's not too bulky.

Re: Recycle!!!
Like Arby has already mentioned, I forgot to add all of those wonderful textural elements from around the kitchen too...such as straws, scourers, flattened metal bottle caps, sponges (direct and for sponge painting/dabbing), twist-ties, bread tags, onion-mesh bags, product packaging, old fashioned stamping with potatoes etc.
