Paper Mache' Technique
Ok so I have had a bit of interest in what i call the Paper Mache Technique, so I have decided to give some intructions here.....
You will need
Serviettes......just the home brand ones will do
Liquid Glue.....acid free
A4 White paper
and water
Pour about a table spoon of glue into 1/2 a cup of water
Cut 2 or 3 serviettes into about 1cm strips.....
On one the pieces of white pp, roughly draw lines with your glue....
Taking each strip dip into the water/glue and twist them.
Place them on the lines of glue, you may press them down so that they mesh well with the glue.
Continue all of this until you feel you will have enough for your project.
Let these dry....now this will take a day or two....if you put it infront of a heater they will dry in a few hours......he he he.
Once they are dry, cut the strips off the white pp, and then you may paint, glitz, shimmer or colour as you wish.....To stick the stuff down on your project, just dab glue on the base of the strip (the white pp side) and stick as you wish.....the beauty of this stuff is it is able to be bent and shaped as you wish.....
Now if you feel that this is allot of hassle....lol. I am more than willing to do the hard work for you and sell it.....Just let me know how many strips you want.....I will sell 5 strips for $10.50....including postage.... It will come in white so you can colour and do as you wish with it....
Cheers Tina
